ISLAMABAD – PML N President Shahbaz Sharif has given an alternate optionfor the Diamer Bhasha Dam construction.
In reaction to Prime Minister Imran Khan’s appeal to donate funds forconstruction of dams in the country, he said former premier Nawaz Sharifhad already spent Rs122 billion on Basha dam and purchased land for it.
He said there is no need to collect funds for dam’s power system asinvestors in the country or abroad can be invited to invest for the purposeand work on it could be started without further delay.
Shehbaz said PM Khan had assured him of formation of a parliamentarycommission to probe alleged rigging in the July 25 polls. But, he lamented,despite passage of three weeks the commission has not been formed.
