*PESHAWAR – Indonesia has decided to enhance the economic ties withPakistan and expressed special interest in the oil, gas and hydrocarbonreserves in the Khyber Pakhtunkhawa.*
*The embassy of Indonesia and Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry(SCCI) have decided to enhance bilateral trade quantity, by looking intomore investment prospects.*
Iwan Suyudhie Amri, Indonesia Ambassador to Pakistan and Zahid Shinwari,SCCI President also decided on point of exchange of business delegationsand investment in oil, gas and hydroelectric power generation in Pakistanin general and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) specially.
A meeting was held between Indonesian diplomats and SCCI members in theprovincial capital, where Amri said, “Indonesia is eager to expand all itssupport and it is on high precedence to encourage trade between these twocountries.”
He also added that the trade volumes between Pakistan and Indonesia hadaugmented following a free trade agreement (FTA) between the two countries.
The Indonesian envoy informed SCCI members that also 20 more goods had beenzero-rated, due to FTA, which can also be the main reason for improvisedtrade volume.
