LAHORE – Punjab Information and Culture Fayyazul Hassan Chohan hasresponded over the issue of controversial advertisement.

He on Thursday condemned the objectionable advertisement regardingPashtuns, which was aired by a news channel last week, and announced thatthe agency responsible for making the ad had been blacklisted.

“Orders have been issued to take action against all those who areresponsible for the monitoring of the ad before going on-air,” the ministersaid in a statement, assuring a strong action against those responsible forthe release of the advert.

“Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has ordered a strict action over theobjectionable advertisement as well and directed to hold an inquiryimmediately while a departmental inquiry has also been initiated.”

The provincial minister further said there was a possibility that theobjectionable material had been aired “unintentionally” and added thatPashtuns reflected dignity, honour, patriotism and courage that prevailedin the country.
