LONDON – Pakistan High Commission (PHC) London would organize a “Black Day”function in the British Parliamenton October 24, in connection with India’s invasion and occupation ofKashmir on October 27,1947.
Pakistan High Commission sources said that speakers including members ofthe British parliament, representatives of All Parties Parliamentary Group(APPG), Lords, Councillors and British-Pakistani and Kashmiri leaders wouldparticipate in the event.
The speakers would highlight the Indian atrocities and gross violation ofhuman rights by the brutal Indian occupation forces and illegal occupationof Kashmir by India since October 27,1947.
The speakers would also highlight the ongoing indigenous freedom strugglelaunched by the valiant Kashmiripeople to get their birth right of self-determination,granted to them bythe United Nations Security Council to decide their future destiny in thelight of UN sponsored plebiscite and according to their wishes.
They would also pay tributes and homage to the people of Indian occupiedKashmir for their unprecedentedsacrifices for the cause of Kashmir freedom movement.
The speakers would also call upon the international community, and peaceloving nations to pressure India stopviolation of human rights and genocide of people in occupied Kashmirforthwith and allow people of Kashmir to decide their future destiny thoughholding a UN sponsored plebiscite .
