ANKARA – A fifteen member team of Saudi intelligence officials may havekilled the top journalist inside the Saudi consulate in Istanbul.
Turkish television has released CCTV footage showing the moment missingSaudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi entered the kingdom’s consulate inIstanbul and the movements of a team suspected of involvement in hisdisappearance.
Khashoggi, a critic of the Saudi monarchy, visited on 2 October but failedto re-emerge.
Turkish security sources say they fear he was killed there. Saudi Arabiadenies this.
The video also shows vehicles driving up to the consulate, including ablack van thought central to inquiries.
Footage broadcast by Turkey’s TRT world channel also shows a group of menapparently passing through security at Istanbul airport.
Turkey’s Sabah newspaper reports that it has identified 15 members of anintelligence team it says was involved in the Saudi’s disappearance.

It published the names and years of birth of the 15 Saudis it said arrivedat Istanbul’s Ataturk airport on Oct. 2.
Twelve of them arrived early on the October 2, based on photos captured atpassport control which it published.
The 15 departed at four different times, and the Saudis stayed at theWyndham and Movenpick hotels in Istanbul, in the same neighbourhood as theSaudi consulate.
Mr Khashoggi was visiting the consulate to finalize his divorce so he couldmarry his Turkish fiancée Hatice Cengiz.
