*ISLAMABAD – The top Pakistan Cricket Board official comes under FIA probeover corruption charges.*
*As per the media report, The FIA has opened an investigation intoallegations of corruption against PCB Chief Operating Officer Subhan Ahmed.*
Ahmed was appointed in 2010 and has been accused of hiring 37 people in thecricket board after taking bribes. He has also been accused of embezzlementin the sale of Champions Trophy 2013 tickets.
The agency is also investigating claims that the PCB’s COO has assetsbeyond his known income and is constructing a farmhouse in Lahore
Investigators will also look into whether he took bribes before awardingtenders for the reconstruction of the Islamabad Cricket Stadium. Thedepartment is also investigating accusations of scandals in restrictingdomestic cricket in Pakistan.
