Afghanistan war privatisation: National Security Council response surfaces

KABUL – Afghanistan National Security Council has (NSC) has reacted backhard over the proposal of privatisation the Afghanistan war.

Media report has revealed the floating proposal of the privatization of war.

“Today, our forces are successfully defending Afghanistan’s territorialintegrity, the rights of Afghan citizens, and our national and Islamicvalues,” the Office of the National Security Council (ONSC), said in astatement.

According to reports, the founder of Blackwater Erik Prince, presented itsplan regarding the privatization of the Afghan war to the U.S. PresidentDonald Trump nearly a year ago.

In an exclusive interview with a private TV few days earlier, the founderof the company once again said the war in Afghanistan should privatized,emphasizing that the privatization of the war is the only way to end theconflict over a short period of time.

However, ONSC added in its statement that “This idea violates the principlethat Afghans determine their own future. Afghan security and defenseforces, under the framework of all applicable laws of the country, have theprimary responsibility and authority for safeguarding the noble values ofIslam, our national sovereignty, and the independence and territorialintegrity of our beloved country and people.”
