US drone strike in Paktia near Pakistan border kill 5 Taliban

KABUL – US drone strike has reportedly hit Afghan Taliban vehicle in Paktiaprovince near Pakistan border.

Atleast five militants were killed after the U.S. drones targeted a vehicleof the Taliban militants in southeastern Paktia province of Afghanistan.The 203rd Thunder Corps of the Afghan Military in the Southeast in astatement said the drone strike was carried out in the vicinity of Zurmatdistrict, Khaama News has reported.

The statement further added that a vehicle which was carrying Talibanmilitants was targeted in Yamnai Khel area of the district, leaving fivemilitants dead.

The 203rd Thunder Corps also added that the vehicle was also destroyedduring the same airstrike.
