The government has taken Tehrik-e-Labbaik Pakistan leader Khadim Hussain Rizvi into protective custody to safeguard public life, property and honour.
In his tweet, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry said the government did it best to convince them, but they refused every offer and started to provoke violence.
He requested the public to stay peaceful and calm.
