TEHRAN – The Yemeni army and popular committee targeted Saudi forces’positions in Taiz, southwestern Yemen with missiles, Yemeni TV Channel’Al-Masirah’ reported.

The Yemeni army has shot a Zelzal-1 missile to Saudis’ positions in AlMa’afer District, Yemeni media reported.

Some of the Saudi forces that aimed to penetrate into Al Ma’afer Districtwere killed and injured by three bombs.

Saudi Arabia and a number of its regional allies launched a devastatingmilitary campaign against Yemen in March 2015, with the aim of bringing thegovernment of Mansour Hadi back to power and crushing the country’sAnsarullah Movement.

Some 16,000 Yemenis have been killed and thousands more injured since theonset of the Saudi-led aggression.

The assaults of the Saudi-led coalition forces have failed to stop theYemenis from resisting the aggression.
