ISLAMABAD – Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry FawadHussain says a comprehensive plan is being implemented to make PakistanBroadcasting Corporation and Pakistan Television Corporation profitableentities.
Responding to a question during Question Hour in the National Assemblytoday, the Minister said a single Board of Directors has been constitutedfor both as part of the reforms.
He said both PBC and PTV will be brought under a single administrativeumbrella in the next phases in order to bring efficiency and improvement inthese organizations.
The Minister expressed hope that PTV will be turned into a profitableentity by next year while the situation of PBC will also be turned aroundby next two years.
Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Muhammad Khan said RadioPakistan is part of our cultural heritage and all out efforts are beingmade to make it a profitable state institution.

He said there is no plan at present to lease the building of Radio Pakistanin Islamabad.
