Punjab Information and Culture Minister Fayaz-ul-Hassan Chohan says provincial government is contemplating to allow Basant festivities next year and it had sought proposals from stakeholders for a safe Basant festival.

Addressing a Press Conference on 100-day performance of the Ministry in Lahore, he said that the issue is not of the twine but the use of metal wire by the kite-flyers and the government wanted to ensure safety of the general public.
