ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC)’s single member bench Monday senta contempt of court case against Director General (DG) FederalInvestigation Agency (FIA) to Chief Justice IHC for further proceeding.
Justice Aamer Farooq of IHC conducted the hearing of the case, filed by asenior official of FIA Inaam Ghani, seeking contempt of court proceedingagainst DG FIA.
The petitioner had stated in his plea that a junior officer of the FIA hadissued notice to him in an inquiry against him. The court had earlierordered to shift the inquiry to a senior officer but the junior officeragain served notice to him in violation of court orders, he said.
He prayed the court to initiate a contempt of court proceedings against theFIA DG and the junior officer, besides barring the FIA inquiries againsthim.

During hearing, the bench observed that Chief Justice Athar Minallah hadalready heard the relevant cases and ordered to sent the matter to him.
