KABUL – A meeting with US officials has been canceled by the Taliban overan agenda disagreement.
Reuters was first to report about the meeting while quoting senior Talibanmembers.
“Both sides have agreed to not meet in Qatar,” senior Taliban members basedin Afghanistan said as quoted by Reuters.
According to Reuters, the talks had been planned for two days startingWednesday in Qatar.

The report says that the Taliban had rejected requests from regional powersto allow Afghan officials to take part in the discussion.
This comes as the efforts for a face-to-face peace talks between the Afghangovernment and the Taliban has increased both by the National UnityGovernment and the international community, the United States on the top.
