LAHORE – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Saturday has claimedto make breakthrough in the assets of Shahbaz Sharif.
NAB said that it had acquired details regarding Pakistan MuslimLeague-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif owning assets beyond statedmeans of income.
According to reports, the anti-graft body has also claimed to acquiredetails regarding Shehbaz’s accounts and vehicles.
Further, the bureau has obtained the authority to question the leader ofthe opposition in the National Assembly in jail.
The PML-N president is currently in NAB custody in Ashiana-e-Iqbal HousingScheme case.
On Friday, Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed’s announced to approach to theSupreme Court (SC) to seek Shehbaz’s removal as chairman of Public AccountsCommittee (PAC).

According to details, the railway minister said, “We can’t accept ShehbazSharif as chairman of PAC, therefore, we will move a plea in Supreme Courtafter two days against his appointment.”
Shehbaz was arrested by NAB in October last year in Ashiana scam case. Theformer chief minister was charged with awarding illegal contracts to hisfavorite firm.
He was apprehended during his appearance before NAB in the Saaf PaniCompany scam.
