ISLAMABAD – This week Chief of Air Staff Mujahid Anwar Khan participated inthe culmination phase of a bilateral exercise between the air forces ofPakistan and the United States held in Sindh.
The “Falcon Talon III” drills took place at PAF Base Shahbaz, which islocated at Jacobabad, Sindh. It is a military base operated by the PakistanAir Force as well as a civilian airport.
During the visit, the air chief flew an exercise training mission in afighter aircraft, said a press release issued by the PAF Directorate ofMedia Affairs.
Interacting with the combat crew of both the air forces, the air chiefcongratulated the participants on successful completion of the exercise.
The air chief also appreciated the air and ground crew for the smooth andprofessional conduct of the exercise. Khan said both the air forces had along history of cordial relations and expressed the hope that the exercisewould help the two air forces learn from one another’s experiences.
The exercise would strengthen and promote cooperation between the two greatnations as well as the air forces, the PAF commander was quoted as saying.
The third instalment of massive PAF-USAF exercises is believed to be a signthat frosty relations between Islamabad and Washington could be thawing.
