DAMASCUS – Syrian military air defenses shot down several missiles launchedby Israel into the southern parts of the country on Sunday.
Syrian state media said that the air defense systems thwarted an Israeliair aggression and prevented it from achieving any of its goals.
An Israeli military spokeswoman declined to comment.
