QALAT,Afghanistan – Afghan forces in fresh operations against militantshave killed seven Taliban fighters in the southern Zabul province, an armystatement released here on Sunday said.
According to the statement, the forces targeted Taliban hideouts in partsof Arghandab district from the ground and air on Saturday night and so farseven insurgents have been confirmed dead and 12 others injured.
The security forces would continue to chase and target anti-governmentmilitants elsewhere in the province to ensure lasting peace there.
