Pakistan Iran border: Pakistan reportedly taking important decision

RAWALPINDI – Director General Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR)Major General Asif Ghafoor Friday said Pakistan and Iran were consideringto fence the common border in order to avoid any sabotage activity byterrorists.

During an informal talk with media persons after addressing a pressconference on situation in the aftermath of Pulwama attack, the directorgeneral ISPR said Pakistan and Iran were enjoying excellent brotherly andfriendly relations.

Answering a question, General Asif Ghafoor said that peace prevailed at theborder between both the brotherly countries and to ensure endurance infuture, “We both are considering fencing the border so that no third party(terrorist) could sabotage the brotherly and friendly relations through anynefarious act.”

Praising the role of Pakistani media he said they had been playingexceptionally responsible role as compared with the Indian media.

In war and peace, media is the first line of defence and the Pakistanimedia was playing the same role, especially at the moment, he added.

He said Pakistan was a responsible state and well aware of the consequencesof an armed conflict or full-fledged war.

Referring to the Indian armed forces strategy based on “Cold Start” he saidit met miserable fate following effective policies adopted by the country’sarmed forces.

As result of current situation, he said, the entire nation had becomeunited and all the political parties had adopted a unison approach and gavestrong response to the arch rival.

He said that the entire nation, besides the political parties and groups,were at the back of country’s armed forces.
