*ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations DrMaleeha Lodhi on Wednesday apprised the UN top brass about the latestsituation in Indian occupied Kashmir.*
Maleeha Lodhi called on UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres at the UnitedNations. During the meeting, she briefed the secretary general about latestdevelopments and the situation in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
She asked Antonio Guterres to play a role in helping to deescalate tensions.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan’s envoy to the UN also called on the UN SecurityCouncil President, Anatolio Ndong Mba and briefed him about the situationin the region.
She also informed the security council president about Prime Minister ImranKhan’s public statement in which he offered dialogue to India, but alsosaid that Pakistan would respond if India embarked on any misadventure.
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Tuesdaysaid that the entire nation was on the same page over Kashmir issues.
Condemning the Pulwama attack, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the attackwould not have happened if India had given Kashmiris their just right toself determination. He said that it could be the reaction of stateterrorism in occupied Kashmir. Bilawal said that Pakistan wanted betterrelations with its neighboring countries.
