Pakistan and Japan decide to enhance defence ties

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan and Japan have agreed to further enhance bilateralcooperation and defence ties to strengthen the existing cordial relationsbetween the two countries in general and two air forces in particular.——————————

The agreement was reached during the meeting of Air Chief Marshal MujahidAnwar Khan and the visiting Vice Chief of Joint Staff of Japan Self DefenceForces Lieutenant General Takashi Motomatsu at Air Headquarters Islamabadtoday (Tuesday).——————————

During the meeting, both the dignitaries discussed matters of professionalinterest. Lieutenant General Takashi Motomatsu appreciated theprofessionalism of the PAF.

The Air Chief briefed the visiting dignitary about ongoing indigenizationprojects being taken up by PAF in recent years.——————————

A smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Air Force presented the Guardof Honour to the distinguished guest on his arrival.——————————

It is pertinent to mention that this visit has been the first in sevenyears by any Japanese military dignitary.
