Pakistan on the road to become once again an economic power

*ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday said that Pakistan wason the road to become once again an economic power.*

Talking to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Dr. Babar Awan, who calledon him today in Islamabad, PM Imran said that hard time was about to endand a new era of prosperity and progress was awaiting for the nation.

He said that the focus of all the government’s policies was elimination ofpoverty from the country.

Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman’s forthcoming visit to Pakistan,expected agreements and investment, current political situation,constitutional issues and other matters were discussed during the meeting.

Babar Awan said that PTI led government was making remarkable achievementson democratic front and added that a new chapter of development would startafter successful agreements with Saudi Arabia. He said, ‘exemplary andstrong ties with Arab countries were in our own national interests.’

It is pertinent to mention here that agreements worth $20 billions areexpected to be signed during the visit of Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad binSalman to Pakistan, sources privy to Saudi Arabia’s embassy had informed *ARYNews* on February 12.

The sources close to the embassy had said, accords worth $20 billion,including the project of setting up oil refinery, would be inked betweenthe two countries.
