218th Corps Commanders Conference held at GHQ, expressed solidarity with Kashmiri brethren on solidarity day

*RAWALPINDI: The Corps Commanders of the Pakistan Army on Monday expressedsolidarity with resilient Kashmiri brethren on the eve of Kashmir Day, saidthe military’s media wing.*

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the 218th CorpsCommanders’ Conference presided by General Qamar Javed Bajwa at the GeneralHeadquarters reviewed the geo-strategic environment and security situationof the country.

“Forum expressed satisfaction on improved internal security situation andprogress on regional peace initiative especially Afghan reconciliationprocess,” said the ISPR.

“Forum discussed situation along Line of Control and Working Boundary withreference to continued cease fire violations and Indian atrocities againstinnocent Kashmiris.”

It added that the state of preparedness along Line of Control, WorkingBoundary and Eastern Border was reviewed to thwart any misadventure fromacross.

“While safeguarding the borders and carrying on the ongoing stabilityoperations through Radd ul Fassad , concurrent focus is now to be onstrategising and implementing comprehensive national response againstmachinations by hostile intelligence agencies and inimical forces to undothe national gains for peace and stability.

The dividends of improved internal security situation must reach out topeople of Pakistan through socioeconomic development”, concluded the COAS.
