ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Muhammad Khan ina statement in Senate on Thursday said Israel was number one enemy ofPakistan and relations of any sort with it would be violation of Pakistan’sconstitution.

The minister made the remarks during proceedings of the upper house whenSenator Mushtaq Ahmed took up the matter of permission by Foreign Office toa Jewish citizen of Pakistan to travel to Israel.

The minister said nobody in Pakistan could have sentiments of friendshipwith Israel, adding in 1967 Israeli Prime Minister David Ben Gurion saidPakistan was an ideological opponent of Israel while their natural ally wasIndia.

Ali Muhammad said every Pakistani was united on the issue of Israel andthere should be no doubt that there was no chance of any relations withIsrael.
