KABUL – Responsibility has been claimed for deadly attacks in easternAfghanistan by the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist group.

ISIS has claimed responsibility for the attack on a private constructionfirm in eastern Nangarhar province.

Amaq News Agency, the pro-ISIS media outlet reported that the attack wascarried out by militants affiliated with Islamic State of Iraq and Syria(ISIS) group, Khaama Press has reported.

According to reports, at least 16 people lost their lives during the attackwhich was carried out in the outskirts of Jalalabad city, the provincialcapital of Nangarhar.

The media office of Nangarhar had earlier reported that 11 workers of EBEConstruction Firm lost their lives in the attack and 9 others havesustained injuries.
