KABUL – Afghan Air Force claims killing 450 Afghan Taliban in recentairstrikes across the country.

The Ministry of Defense of Afghanistan has claimed that the airstrikes haveleft at least 450 Taliban militants dead in past one week, Khaama Press hasreported.

According to a statement released by the Ministry of Defense “Despiteunsuitable weather condition and heavy snowfall, over the past week, AfghanAir Forces carried out airstrikes on the enemies’ havens in order to ensuresecurity.”

The statement further added “These air operations were launched in Sangendistrict of Helmand, Sancharak district of Sarepul, Dashte-Qala district ofTakhar, Qarabagh, Dehyak and Andar districts of Ghazni, Hesarak district ofNangarhar, Zurmat district of Paktia, Shulgara district of Balkh,Shahwalikut district of Kandahar and vicinity of Trenkut city.

As a result, 350 terrorists including Shafiqullah, Mullah Zanjer, MullahNoor Ahmad known as Khalid, Abdullah, Zahidullah, Yousuf, Badruddin, MullahFaizullah, Mawlai Nematullah, Mawlawi Muhammadi, Mullah Noorulhaq andMullah Temoor Shah, Local commanders were killed. Tens of their fightingpositions, hideouts and depots destroyed as well.”
