The Indian Army on Saturday carried out massive drills of anti tank guidedmissile (ATGM) in a field live fire training exercise undertaken for troopsof the Army’s Eastern Command.
An anti-tank guided missile (ATGM), anti-tank missile, anti-tank guidedweapon (ATGW) or anti-armor guided weapon is a guided missile primarilydesigned to hit and destroy heavily armoured military vehicles.

India has recently upped its military equipment. India’s military might wason full display with some newly-acquired weapons and old war horsesstrutting down Rajpath in the company of military bands and with attackchoppers and fighter jets roaring above in the sky — at the Republic Dayparade this year.
Newly acquired M777 howitzers and K-9 Vajra self-propelled artillery gunswere on public display for the first time along with other weapons at theparade.
The 155mm, 39 calibre ultra-light howitzers have been procured from the USunder government to government Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and will beassembled in India by BAE Systems in partnership with Mahindra Defence.
Another new entry this year was that of the Surface Mine Clearing System(SMCS). The system is mounted on Infantry Combat Vehicle BMP-II and can bedetached at convenience.
