SRINAGAR – In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of stateterrorism martyred two Kashmiri youth in Handwara area of Kupwara district,today (Friday).

According to Kashmir Media Service, the troops martyred the youth during acordon and search operation at Babagund in Langate area of Handwara. Theoperation continued till last reports came in.

Meanwhile, people took to the streets in the area and staged forcefuldemonstrations against the killing of the youth. Indian police and troopsfired pellets and teargas shells to disperse the protesters, injuringseveral of them.

Three persons who had received pellet injuries were shifted to a healthcentre in Unisoo. “Three persons with pellet injuries were brought to thefacility. Two with pellet injuries in their eyes were referred to districthospital Handwara,” Block Medical Officer Langate Nazir Ahmad told media.

Complete shutdown is being observed in Handwara against the killings whilethe occupation authorities have suspended Internet service in the area.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of Jammu and Kazhmir Muslim Conference, ShabbirAhmed Dar, in a statement in Srinagar paid glowing tributes to the youthmartyred by Indian troops in Shopian and Kupwara areas since yesterday. Hesaid the martyrs are the real heroes of Kashmir freedom movement andKashmiri people will accomplish their mission, despite all odds.
