Pakistan and Indian Airspace shutdown as tensions escalate between nuclear armed rivals

ISLAMABAD – According to media reports have suggested airports in Lahore,Karachi, Islamabad, and Quetta have been closed for commercial flights.

Flightrader has also confirmed that air traffic in India and Pakistan hasbeen affected and flights are either facing delays or suspended on bothsides of the border.

Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has also warned travelers that PIA flightsmay be affected amid the tense security situation.

India has also confirmed closure of various airports and airfieldsfollowing Pakistan Air Force’s (PAF) response to Indian intrusion.

As per reports from the Indian media, airfields of Srinagar, Jammu, Leh,Chandigarh, Shimla, Amritsar and Pathankot have been closed.

According to Times of India, part of Indian airspace is facing closure asmultiple commercial flights have been put on hold.

It is worth mentioning here that PAF on Wednesday morning shot down twoIndian aircraft trying to enter Pakistani airspace.
