Key Central Asian Republic puts weight behind Pakistan over Kashmir cause

MUZAFFARABAD – Azarbhaijan’s Ambassador to Pakistan Ali Alizada has saidthat his country was fully supporting the right to self-determination topeople of Kashmir to resolve the conflict between India and Pakistan in thelarger interest of the region.

Alizada expressed these views during a meeting with Prime Minister AzadJammu and Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider Khan here Thursday at his office afterattending a function in a school built by Aazarbhaijan after 2005earthquake in AJK’s capital.

The ambassador said his country had very cordial relations with Pakistansince long and was very enthusiastic for investment here while cooperationwith AJK government would also be extended in different fields.

He expressed pleasure over improvement in governance and development in thearea and said he felt clear change in AJK as for as the development isconcern compared to the past.

Prime Minister Haider appraised him about priorities of the government andsaid that various measures have been taken socioeconomic uplift of the area.

Haider told the visiting ambassador that being a peaceful region, AJK wasvery ideal for tourism and investment in different sectors adding after thePulwama attack Indian aggression across line of control (LOC) had made lifeof people living near LoC miserable.APP/mfk-adi
