ISLAMABAD – A U.S. unmanned aerial vehicle crashed close to Bagram Airfieldin northern Parwan province of Afghanistan this afternoon.
“At 2:50 p.m local time today, an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) sufferedengine failure and crashed into a field approximately five kilometers southof Bagram Airfield in Parwan province,” the U.S. Forces-Afghanistan said ina statement, Khaama Press has reported.
The statement further added that there were no injuries and the incident isunder investigation.
Bagram Airfield is one of the largest U.S. military bases in Afghanistanand is home to thousands of U.S. forces.
