10 billion economic success for PTI government in first year, courtesy former finance minister Asad Umar

ISLAMABAD – PTI government $10 billion economic success has been revealedby All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) Patron-in-Chief GoharEjaz.

He has expressed hope that the current account deficit would be down tozero within two years if the monetary policy remains tight and exports areencouraged through new investments.

He said the overall imports may end up at $53 billion while exports at $24billion, adding that this would reduce the trade deficit to $29 billion atthe end of the current fiscal year.

“Remittances worth $22 billion would further reduce the current accountdeficit to $7 billion by the end of the current fiscal, down from $17billion last year,” he maintained.

He said exports were recorded at $17.1 billion while imports at $40.7billion in March 2019
