UK Pakistan CCI makes announcement to invest millions of dollarsin Pakistan

LAHORE – A delegation of UK-Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry ledby its president Amjad Khan called on Punjab Chief Minister Sardar UsmanBuzdar at his office here Thursday.

The delegation showed its interest in investment in different sectors andsaid that they were interested in making an investment in agriculture,livestock, dairy development, tourism, industry, and other sectors.

The new Pakistan is moving towards progress and we want to collaborate inthis journey of development.The delegation disclosed that initial planninghad been made to invest 200 million pounds in Punjab and agreements wasbeing executed inthis regard.

Talking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that new Pakistan wasopened to the investors. The UK-based Pakistanis should invest and theywould be provided full protection by the government.

Punjab government will provide every possible incentive to the investorsbecause investment ensures development and prosperity. Roadshow will alsobe arranged in London under the aegis of Punjab Board of Investment andTrade, he said.

Chief Minister said that investors would not face any difficulty and nointerference would be allowed in the investment process.He made it clear that the investment process would not succumb to anybureaucratic problem and any difficulty faced by the investors would besolved on priority basis.

He reiterated that the investment process would not be allowed to halt atany moment and the problems would be dealt on a priority basis.

He said that expatriates loved their country and Overseas PakistanisCommission Punjab had been activated to help solve their problems.

Usman Buzdar said that properties of overseas Pakistanis would be protectedand added that he would personally monitor the problem-solving mechanism.

The delegation also extended sympathies to the Chief Minister over thedeath of his father and offered Fateha for the departed soul.

The delegation was comprised of General Secretary of UK-Pakistan Chamber ofCommerce and Industry Waheed-ur-Rehman Mian, Senior Vice President SyedAsad Hussain, Vice President Asim Yousuf, Joint Secretary Sardar ShafqaatKhan, and others.

Provincial Ministers Makhdoom Hashim Jawan Bakht, Dr Yasmin Rashid,Chairman PBIT Sardar Tanvir Ilyas, Chairman P&D, administrativesecretaries, office bearers of FPCCI and LCCI and others were also presenton the occasion.
