ISLAMABAD – Pakistani and Turkish officials held talks in Ankara tofinalize Pakistan-Turkey Strategic Economic Framework aimed at boostingtrade and commercial ties between the two brotherly countries.
Secretary, Economic Affairs Divison Noor Ahmed headed Pakistan delegationwhile Turkish delegation was led by Deputy Minister for Trade Gonca YilmazBatur.
During the talks considerable progress was made on discussing the draft SEFas well as a comprehensive plan of action.
It is expected that the finalized SEF would be adopted during the nextmeeting of the Pakistan Turkey High Level Strategic Cooperation Council tobe held in Islamabad soon that will be co-chaired by President Recep TayyipErdogan and Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Broader areas of collaboration include textile, investment, industrialcooperation, banking and finance, transport and communication, low-costhousing, defence production, aviation, agriculture, water resourcemanagement, health and pharmaceuticals, transport and communication.
