RAWALPINDI – Secretary Defence, Lt Gen (Retd) Ikram Ul Haq has attended the14th International Defence Industry Fair (IDEF-2019) in Turkey.
The four-day fair, which concluded on Friday featured latest innovations indefence technology and equipment, said a press release issued here.
Sponsored by a close friend of Pakistan and important defence partner theevent provides a valuable opportunity to identify new avenues ofcollaboration between the two countries.The event also allows interaction and exchange of ideas with defenceleadership of visiting countries through side line meetings.Availing the opportunity, Secretary Defence met with Gen (Retd) HulusiAkar, Turkish Minister for National Defence as well as Professor IsmailDemir, President of Turkish Defence Industries.During these meetings, the dignitaries discussed matters pertaining tomutual interest, defence and defence industrial cooperation.Both sides explored the possibility of new avenues of cooperation tofurther enhance collaboration between the two countries.
