*ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government has releasedRs536.6 billion (79.5 percent) including Rs174.6 billion foreign aid fordifferent development projects under the Public Sector DevelopmentProgramme (PSDP) 2018-19 against the total budgeted allocation of Rs675billion.*
According to the latest data of PSDP 2018-19 released by the Ministry ofPlanning, Development and Reform, the government released Rs210.65 billion(72.2 percent) including Rs27.03 billion foreign aid for developmentprojects of various ministries, divisions and related departments out ofRs291.55 billion budgeted allocation.
The Ministry of Planning, Development and Reform released a total ofRs208.84 billion for various development projects of the National HighwayAuthority (NHA), including Rs133.26 billion foreign aid, out of Rs185.2billion budgeted allocation, as the NHA was released Rs23.64 billion morethan the budgeted allocation. An amount of Rs23.2 billion out of Rs28.065billion budgeted allocation was released for development projects ofPakistan Railways.
Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission received Rs26.27 billion (98.4 percent)out of Rs26.7 billion budgeted allocation for development projects.
The government released Rs54 billion (69.4 percent) including Rs 8.6billion foreign aid out of Rs78 billion for development projects andschemes of Water Resources Division.
The PTI government released a total of Rs18.5 billion (59.8 percent)including Rs88.6 million foreign aid out of Rs30.96 billion budgetedallocation for Higher Education Commission, Rs7.9 billion were released forthe Interior Division, Rs10.13 billion for Communication Division (otherthan NHA) and Rs2.28 billion for Federal Education and ProfessionalTraining Division.
The government released Rs2.74 billion out of Rs12.78 billion budgetedallocation for the development projects of National Health Services,Regulation and Coordination Division, Rs4.07 billion for Planning,Development and Reform and Rs15.26 million for Textile Division. Thegovernment released Rs2.1 billion for Defence Production Division andRs15.6 billion including Rs14.2 billion foreign aid for developmentprojects of Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission(SUPARCO).
The government released Rs407.3 million for the Cabinet Division againstthe total budgeted allocation of Rs1 billion. An amount of Rs1 billion wasreleased for the Aviation Division, Rs700 million for Climate Change, Rs1.5billion for Defence Production Division, Rs1.3 billion for developmentprojects of Maritime Affairs Division, Rs2.69 billion for developmentprojects of Housing and Works Division and Rs3 billion have been releasedfor Revenue Division.
The government released Rs1.214 billion including Rs344.51 million foreignaid for Information Technology and Telecom Division out of Rs1.45 billionbudgeted allocation, Rs25.57 billion including Rs718.67 million foreign aidfor States and Frontier Region Division, Rs11 billion including Rs10.84billion foreign aid out of Rs33.37 billion for development projects ofPakistan Electric Power Company (PEPCO) and Rs2.69 billion for thedevelopment projects of Housing and Works Division.
The government released Rs24.12 billion (93.3 percent) including Rs2.5billion foreign aid for development projects of Azad Jammu and Kashmiragainst the total budgeted allocation of Rs25.86 billion and Rs13.5 billion(72.88 percent) including Rs932.9 million foreign aid for developmentproject of Gilgit-Baltistan out of Rs17.53 billion budgeted allocation forthe current fiscal year 2018-19.
The government released Rs3.51 billion for development projects ofEarthquake Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Authority (ERRA) out of Rs6.5billion budgeted allocation.
The funds are released as per quarterly ceilings; first quarter(July-September) 20 percent, second quarter (October-December) 20 percent,third quarter (January-March) 30 percent and fourth quarter (April-June) 30percent.
