SRINAGAR – Entire leadership of main stream political parties of OccupiedKashmir send a stern message to PM Modi government.
The leaders of mainstream political parties inlinkJammu and Kashmir who met in Srinagar on Sunday evening, decided to seek anaudience with President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, andleaders of other parties amid tension in the state over fears of scrappingof Articles 35A, 370.
The parties resolved to protect and defend the special status of Jammu andKashmir.
“It was unanimously resolved that all the parties would be united in theirresolve to protect and defend identity, autonomy and special status ofJammu, Kashmir and Ladakh against all attacks and onslaughts whatsoever;modification abrogation of Articles 35A, 370, unconstitutionaldelimitation, trifurcation of the state would be an aggression against thepeople of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh,’’ said Farooq Abdullah whilereading the resolution passed after the all-party meeting.
The former chief minister also made an appeal to India and Pakistan thatthey should never take any step which will create tension between the twocountries.
Besides Farooq Abdullah the meeting was also attended by PDP presidentMehbooba Mufti, PC chairman Sajjad Lone, former chief minister OmarAbdullah, and leaders of other mainstream political parties.
