Pakistan Air Force achieves a landmark step in JF – 17 indigenous overhaul and upgrade

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Air Force has successfully overhauled its JF-17aircraft facility in Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC), Kamra.

According to a statement issued by PAF, a ceremony was held at the AircraftRebuild Factory with Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal MujahidAnwar Khan as chief guest.

Others in attendance included PAC Chairman, Air Marshal Ahmer Shehzad,President of China National Aero-technology Import and Export Corporation(CATIC), Yang Ying, Vice President Aviation Industry Corporation of China(AVIC), Wang Wel, President China Aviation Industry Corporation (CAIC),Zhan Jianping and other top officials from Pakistan and China.

The Air Chief praised the efforts of PAF officials and technicians for JF17overhaul. He was all praise for China’s support in the transition towardsself-reliance.

We are living in a technology-intensive world, where self-reliance andindigenization are key to effectively addressing modern challenges. The PAFhas been relentlessly pursuing these goals and has achieved remarkablecapability.

Pakistani engineers and technicians have indigenously overhauled two JF-17swhereas the first two were overhauled in China.
