Peshawar Zalmi league reaches 30 teams around the globe

LAHORE: Pakistan's biggest sports entity, Peshawar Zalmi's Global Zalmi League has reached 30 teams around the world and Glasgow (Scotland) just became part of the Global Zalmi as well.

Pakistan Super League's top franchise in terms of brand value, Peshawar Zalmi has achieved another wondrous feat, said Peshawar Zalmi Chairman here.

"We are now 30 clubs strong for Global Zalmi League. Glasgow Zalmi is the latest addition. We are now in 26 countries with 30 teams," he said.
Javed Afridi said that Global Zalmi had now become a platform for overseas Pakistanis to showcase their cricketing talent and pave way for themselves into their National teams, as Global Zalmi players were representing their countries. More countries would join Global Zalmi league as well, he added.

Global Zalmi was Pakistan's first and only league that was providing opportunities to overseas Pakistani cricketers and was present in over 25 countries. The clubs had increased to around 30 and had been registered officially with the Global Zalmi League. The league started in 2017 and 2nd edition happened in 2018. The third edition schedule would be announced soon.
