Iranian FM meets Pakistani counterpart, likely to meet PM, COAS

ISLAMABAD – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on Wednesday met his Pakistani counterpart Shah Mehmood Qureshi in Islamabad.

He is likely to meet PM Imran Khan and COAS General Bajwa too.

According to details, both the ministers exchange views on matters related to mutual interests. They discussed all issues including ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries in diverse fields.

The Iranian foreign minister will also call on Prime Minister Imran Khan to discuss the entire gamut of bilateral relations.

During his one-day visit, Iranian foreign minister has also been scheduled to meet Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa for discussion over 12 abducted officials.

It is Zarif’s second visit to Pakistan during the government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
