PIA privatisation: Federal government official stance reiterated

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Senate Standing Committee on Defence Production Senator Lt General (R) Abdul Qayyum on Monday saidthat government has no plan to privatize Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).
Talking to media outside the Parliament House, he said, “We haveto no plan to privatize the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA). There had been avisible improvement in the airline's operations as a result of the government'sefforts".
To a question, he said that Pakistan Muslim league (N) is the most popularparty of the country and got the highest vote in the 2013 elections.
