Chairman Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) Industries Association of Pakistan, Irfan Khokhar says due to better policies of the government and reduction in LPG prices in the international market, the LPG would be available to domestic and commercial consumers at low rate.
In a statement from Lahore today, he said that the association is against money-laundering through 'hundi', smuggling and import of substandard gas.
Irfan Khokhar said that if import of LPG would stop, the prices would shoot up to 200 rupees to 250 rupees per kilo.
Meanwhile, the LPG association and Awami Rickshaw Union Chairman Majeed Ghouri urged the government not to impose tax on gas in the coming 2019-20 budget.
