Efforts underway for celebrating EID on same day across the country

PESHAWAR: Federal government is making all possible efforts to observe the holy month of Ramadan and Eid on the same day in entire country as Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Yousaf held meeting with Mufti Shahabuddin Popalzai here at today.
As per details, Federal Minister for Religious affairs called on Mufti Shahabuddin in order to ensure the commencement of Ramadan on the same day in country. Both exchanged views to observe Eid ul Fitar and holy month of Ramadan on the same day during the meeting.
Sources claimed that Federal Minister Sardar Yousaf tried to convince Mufti Shahabuddin to accept the decision of Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee to begin the holy month of Ramadan on the same day.
On the other hand, National Commission for minorities affairs meeting was held under the chairmanship of federal minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Yousaf.
Matters related to welfare and protection of minorities as well as efforts for the promotion of inter-faith harmony were reviewed during the meeting.
Sardar Yousaf would also hold meeting with KPK Religious affairs minister for the formation of Ruet-i-Hilal Committee.
