Lady health workers end protest in Lahore

LAHORE:The lady health workers ( LHWs ) from different parts of Punjab have called off their protest sit-in at the charring cross, in Lahore following the successful negotiations with the Provincial government.
According to the Secretary of Primary and Secondary Health Punjab Ali Jan, Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has accepted the summery of demands of LHWs.
Talking to newsmen in Lahore, a leader of LHWs said that a notification has also been issued by health department in which their demands have been fulfilled.
Earlier, the Lahore High Court ordered the Punjab government to end the sit-in and submit its report in this regard till Monday. APP/AFP
