Pakistan and Spain decide to enhance defence cooperation

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan and Spain have acknowledged the need to enhance defence cooperation between the two countries.
The understanding came during a meeting between Defense Minister Pervez Khattak and Ambassador of Spain Manuel Duran Gimenez-Rico in Islamabad on Friday.
Pervez Khattak said collaboration to address global challenges, such as terrorism, extremism, illegal immigration and drug trafficking is an important part of our bilateral relations with Spain.
The two sides acknowledged the need to enhance defence cooperation between the two countries.
The Defense Minister also mentioned that a memorandum of Understanding on Defence Cooperation between Pakistan and Spain is at advance stage.
The Defence Minister invited Spanish military to join in training collaboration ventures and multilateral maritime exercise AMAN.
