Top Iranian Commander lashes out at US over military presence in Gulf Region

TEHRAN - Iran has accused United States of causing insecurity in Gulf region.
Talking to media in southern Iranian port city of Bandar Abbas, Chairman of the Chief of Staff of Iranian Armed Forces Mohammad Baqeri said, the United States is only fueling insecurity in Gulf through its presence in the strategic region.
He emphasized that the Gulf countries are capable of ensuring security on their own.
Earlier, Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said that the U.S. military presence in the Gulf is "illegal" and would create tension in the region.
