Security tightened for foreign nationals

In Lahore, Inspector General of Police Dr. Usman Anwar emphasized that ensuring the complete security of Chinese nationals engaged in CPEC and other projects was of utmost importance. He called for strong measures to safeguard foreign citizens, experts, and investors.

The Inspector General made these remarks while leading a meeting at the Special Protection Unit Headquarters in Manawan. He stressed the need for regular assessments of security arrangements at offices, work sites, and residences, and instructed the deployment of SPU personnel in local or nearby districts.

The IGP also advocated for the development of a promotion system with clear SOPs for advancement from constable to inspector. Furthermore, he urged SPU personnel to dutifully provide security and maintain a peaceful environment for foreign nationals.
