Leading their respective delegations were Mohammad Kamran Akhtar, Additional Secretary for Arms Control & Disarmament/Policy Planning from Pakistan, and Sun Xiaobo, Director General of the Department of Arms Control at China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as reported by Radio Pakistan.

Before the discussions, the Additional Secretary met with Sun Weidong, Vice Foreign Minister of the Republic of China. The meeting encompassed extensive discussions on China-Pakistan relations, the global and regional security landscape, and various topics of shared interest.

Within the consultation, a wide array of subjects pertaining to Arms Control, disarmament, and non-proliferation were explored, which included both regional and global security dynamics. Notably, Pakistan's delegation visited prominent think tanks in Beijing, including China's Arms Control & Disarmament Association and the Chinese Institute of Contemporary International Relations.
