Fayaz Zafar, senior journalist from KP arrested by Police

According to ARY News, a prominent journalist named Fayaz Zafar from Swat was apprehended by local law enforcement on Wednesday, citing the Maintenance of Public Order Ordinance (MPO). The Swat police department verified the arrest, indicating that Fayaz Zafar, the senior journalist, was detained under the MPO and subsequently moved from the Deputy Commissioner's office to Swat jail.
The journalist shared with the media that he was taken to the Deputy Commissioner's office, where he experienced mistreatment. He claimed that his arrest was a result of his truthful reporting.
Earlier in the same month, another senior journalist, Jan Mohammad Mahar, who served as the Sukkur bureau chief for Kawish Television Network (KTN), was tragically killed by unidentified individuals on August 13.
The assailants, riding a motorcycle, opened fire on Mahar while he was in his vehicle after leaving his office at 9:00 am in Sukkur.
