Actress Mahira Khan finally breaks silence over divorce

Actress Mahira Khan broke her silence for the first time on rumors of a second marriage and divorce from her first husband.
According to India Times, Mahira Khan's first marriage took place in 2007 with a person named Ali. They also have a son named Azlan.
Speaking in the podcast "Faye," Mahira Khan revealed, "I was 17 years old at the time. After the marriage, I moved to Los Angeles because Ali was living there. However, after going there, things started to go wrong, and I began to face difficulties. Shortly after Azlan's birth, I realized that our marriage couldn't work."
Mahira Khan said, "Finally, after 8 years of marriage, I decided to get a divorce and returned to Pakistan to be with my parents. Even then, I knew I had to become an independent woman; I knew I had to keep my son with me. During those difficult days when no one stood by my side, my work did, which supported me. The first few years after the divorce were very tough."
